Dhaka Dynamites won over Rajshahi Kings in the final of Bangladesh Premier League 2016 with a combination of all round team effort.

Rajshahi Kings on the other hand, struggled a great deal to pick themselves up and make it to the top 4 at the eleventh hour. Considering that, the Dhaka-Rajshahi final was a perfect match.
In the match however, Dhaka dominated in every aspect, batting, bowling and fielding. Contributions came from every player, whether local or overseas, it didn’t matter. Everyone contributed something to the win, either with an outstanding catch or a powerful stop.
Evin Lewis and Kumar Sangakkara led in the batting card to help Dhaka achieve a fighting total of 159 in 20 overs. Farhad Reza bagged 3 for Rajshahi in cramping Dhaka below 160.
Rajshahi in batting lost their key batsmen and match winners in single figures. Mominul Haque struggled to make his 27, so did Sabbir Rahman in his 26. Despite a short cameo of Samit Patel, there is nothing else left to say about Rajhshahi’s batting. On the contrary Dhaka was charged up. Bowling and fielding has been top notch, just as it has been expected from them. Rajshahi was 56 runs short and made only 103.
Dhaka Dynamites take the trophy with a dominating 56-run win. Kumar Sangakkara was awarded man of the match. Tamim Iqbal of Chittagong Vikings was the most valuable local player scoring 476 runs with six fifties. Mahmudullah was awarded player of the tournament for his 396 runs and 10 wickets.
